Effects of NRBE on blood sugar and adiponectin of diabetic rats The DC group and all NRBEtreated groups showed drastically higher fasting blood glucose levels than the NC group P 0.05, indicating that the DC group and all NRBEtreated groups had been induced to diabetes by streptozocin just before experimental therapies Table two. Compared with DC group, diabetic rats fed with mediumdose 200 mgkg BW or highdose NRBE 500 mgkg BW didn‘t show a considerable change in blood sugar P 0.05, but a low dose of NRBE one hundred mg kg BW could decrease the blood sugar level in diabetic rats Table 2. Table two also shows that all blood samples of NRBEtreated rats contained a larger adiponectin concentration compared with those of your DC group. Effects of NRBE on antioxidant acidity of diabetic rats Compared with NC rats, DC rats showed substantially higher ROS, AGEs, and GPx levels and reduce GSH and SOD levels in the kidneys Table four. Oral administration of NRBE could drastically reverse the change in antioxidant status triggered by streptozocin P 0.05.
